Account Executive - Commercial (Northern Germany)

  • R9371
  • Germany

Rapid7 is seeking a customer-centric, target-driven Account Executive to join our DACH sales team. This role, newly available through an internal promotion, offers immediate growth opportunities and future strategic career paths. You will drive new customer acquisition across Northern Germany – helping to expand our DACH region – while benefiting from a competitive compensation package. Candidates must reside within the territory (e.g. Hamburg, Berlin, Hannover) or in nearby regions such as Cologne, Düsseldorf, or Frankfurt and have a proven ability to exceed sales targets through solution selling and relationship building.

About the Team

Our EMEA Sales organization partners with customers to help them achieve a secure digital future by leveraging our full portfolio of products. You will join a DACH Sales team of 10 Account Executives, each responsible for their territory, and receive support from in-region Business Development Representatives, Channel Account Managers, Solutions Engineers and Customer Success Managers. Together, we deliver best-in-class cybersecurity solutions and services. Our Sales Enablement team further ensures your success through comprehensive training and coaching that immerses you in our business and product expertise. As an Account Executive, you will report directly to the Manager, Sales for Commercial and Strategic.

About The Role

As an Account Executive, you will collaborate with internal teams to generate and close new business opportunities—from prospecting to contract negotiation. This quota-carrying role involves selling solutions from our entire portfolio using state-of-the-art tools like Salesforce and Clari.

Specifically, your focus will be to:

  • Exceed Quota: Identify, qualify, and close new business opportunities within the Commercial segment (up to 1500 employees).

  • Prospect Creatively: Source new prospects, align Rapid7’s offerings with their needs, and serve as a trusted advisor.

  • Monitor Competition: Stay informed about competitor offerings to recognize their strengths and vulnerabilities.

  • Leverage Client Insights: Transform client feedback into actionable strategies that drive business growth and foster win-win solutions.

  • Collaborate Across Teams: Work closely with Channel, Sales Engineering, Sales Operations, and Customer Success teams to ensure seamless implementation and sustained account growth.

The skills and qualities you’ll bring include:

  • Experience: 1–3 years of full-cycle sales experience in a software or technology company, ideally in Cybersecurity.

  • Revenue Growth: A proven ability to drive revenue through prospecting, new business creation, and expanding existing accounts.

  • Entrepreneurial Mindset: The capacity to work autonomously, thrive under pressure, and adapt quickly to changing priorities.

  • Team Collaboration: Strong teamwork skills within a high-performing environment.

  • Drive & Resilience: Tenacity and a competitive spirit in a fast-paced, target-driven setting.

  • Flexibility: Willingness to travel up to 25% for client meetings.

  • Language Skills: Fluency in both English and German (C2).

We know that the best ideas and solutions come from multi-dimensional teams. That’s because these teams reflect a variety of backgrounds and professional experiences. If you are excited about this role and feel your experience can make an impact, please don’t be shy - apply today.
