Business Systems Analyst

The Business Systems Analyst (BSA) plays a critical role in driving operational efficiency and scalability across Rapid7’s financial and reporting systems. In this role, you will lead requirements gathering sessions, map and assess end-to-end business processes, and define and execute enhancements across core systems like NetSuite, Coupa, Concur, and related financial and revenue applications. You will collaborate with cross-functional stakeholders to support both a workstream of enhancements and larger transformational initiatives, including financial system implementations, report development and other enterprise-scale system projects. Success in this role will require strong analytical skills, a foundational understanding of financial system data models, and the ability to turn business needs into actionable technology solutions.

About the Role

As a Business Systems Analyst, you will serve as a key partner to Finance, Accounting, and Revenue Operations teams. You will work to improve processes and tools that support the financial cycle from procure-to-pay and expense management to financial close and revenue reporting. You will also play a central role in the execution of strategic cross-functional projects that span multiple systems and business teams.

In this role, you will:

  • Gather requirements and compile documentation by facilitating intake and discovery conversations with Finance, Accounting, and Revenue Operations stakeholders to understand business needs and pain points, then translate into structured business requirements and user stories that guide technical design..

  • Support system enhancements by collaborating with technical teams (developers, admins, etc.) to scope, prioritize, test, and deploy improvements across NetSuite, Coupa, Concur, and other related financial and revenue reporting systems..

  • Support reporting and data flow improvements by working with Finance, Accounting, and RevOps partners to ensure that data flowing through financial and revenue systems supports accurate, accessible financial and revenue reporting.

  • Collaborate with the report development team to translate business needs into functional data/reporting specifications.

  • Support effective  change management and adoption by assisting in preparing user documentation and supporting training efforts to ensure new capabilities are fully adopted and used effectively by business teams.

The Skills You Will Bring Include

  • 2 to 4 years of experience in a Business Systems Analyst, Financial Systems Analyst, or similar role supporting financial organizations.

  • Strong understanding of financial processes including GL, AP, AR, P2P, T&E, and month-end close.

  • Hands-on experience with financial applications such as NetSuite, Coupa, or Concur, with a solid understanding of core data models and financial processes preferred.

  • Exposure to enterprise-scale financial system projects, with interest or experience in implementations or major upgrades.

  • Familiarity with reporting tools (e.g., Tableau, Power BI, NetSuite SuiteAnalytics, or similar).

  • Demonstrated ability to document and translate complex business needs into functional requirements that can be executed by technical teams.

  • Strong analytical mindset with the ability to interpret financial and operational data and drive system or process improvements based on insights.

  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills, with the ability to tailor messaging to both business and technical audiences.

  • Strong organizational skills and a track record of managing multiple concurrent workstreams in a fast-paced environment.
