About the role

Rapid7 is seeking a Director, People Operations to lead a global team and deliver scalable, efficient, and compliant people processes that support our distinctive culture. Reporting to the SVP, Strategic People Operations, this role is responsible for driving operational excellence, managing people programs, and partnering across People Strategy functions to ensure seamless support for our employees worldwide.

As the Director, People Operations, your primary responsibility will be to lead global people operations and deliver programs that drive scalability, compliance, and employee experience. Specifically, your focus will be to:

  • Lead and optimize scalable global people processes, including onboarding, offboarding, and Workday administration.

  • Ensure secure, compliant, and accurate employee data management, continuously driving process optimization and automation.

  • Partner with People Strategy teams (People Strategists, Learning & Development, Total Rewards, Talent Acquisition) to provide program and project management support.

  • Design, implement, and scale people metrics and reporting, leveraging Workday dashboards and analytics tools for insights across People Strategy, Finance, senior leadership, and the Board.

  • Oversee vendor management, including PEO (Velocity), and support global site setup and closure activities.

  • Lead people operations involvement in M&A activities, workforce planning, and other cross-functional projects.

  • Partner with Legal to ensure compliance with federal, state, and local employment laws.

  • Manage and develop a global team spanning people operations and program management.
     

The skills and qualities you’ll bring include:

  • Bachelor’s degree or equivalent education and experience.

  • 7+ years of experience in People Operations and/or Total Rewards (Compensation, Benefits, HRIS) in the high-tech industry.

  • Proven track record of process optimization and continuous improvement, with a focus on employee experience.

  • Strong experience partnering across Global Total Rewards, Talent Management, and Talent Acquisition; Workday expertise is a plus.

  • Demonstrated ability to manage people analytics and reporting, with strong data-driven decision-making and presentation skills.

  • Experience in workforce planning and/or M&A integration is highly desirable.

  • Exceptional collaboration, project management, and organizational skills, with high attention to detail.

  • Ability to thrive in a fast-paced, innovative environment with shifting priorities.

The salary range for this role in the US is:

$142,700.00 - 193,100.00 USD Annual

Salary ranges may vary based on geographical location. This range does not include variable/incentive compensation, equity and benefits (where applicable/eligible).
