Director, Talent Acquisition

Rapid7 is seeking a globally-minded, strategic Director of Talent Acquisition to lead a high-impact recruiting function that fuels our business growth. If you're a passionate TA leader excited to scale global hiring strategies, coach a diverse team of recruiters, and build trusted partnerships with senior leaders, we’d love to meet you.

About the Team

The Global Talent Acquisition team is responsible for identifying, attracting, and hiring top-tier talent across Rapid7. We strive to deliver an exceptional candidate and hiring manager experience through data-driven, inclusive, and consultative recruiting practices that align with our culture and mission.

About the Role

As Director of Global Talent Acquisition, you will drive the strategy and execution of hiring across key business-enabling functions, including Go-to-Customer (GTC), Marketing, Business Operations, and G&A. You will architect scalable, modern recruiting approaches that increase hiring velocity and quality while aligning with Rapid7’s growth ambitions.

Key Responsibilities

  • Design and implement future-ready, scalable talent acquisition strategies aligned with Rapid7’s global footprint and long-term business objectives.

  • Build and sustain deep, trusted relationships with senior functional and regional leaders. Use market insights and analytics to guide workforce planning, headcount prioritization, and hiring decisions.

  • Leverage AI, automation, and data to modernize sourcing, assessment, and engagement strategies that drive efficiency and candidate quality.

  • Lead, mentor, and inspire a high-performing global team of recruiters, fostering a culture of inclusion, accountability, and collaboration.

  • Integrate inclusive hiring practices throughout every stage of the recruitment lifecycle, ensuring equitable experiences and outcomes.
Provide timely, actionable insights on global labor market trends, talent availability, and competitive positioning to inform hiring strategies.
Define and drive execution against key performance indicators (KPIs) for talent acquisition, including time-to-fill, quality of hire, pipeline diversity, and candidate experience metrics.

  • Partner closely with Talent Operations to continuously improve systems, tools, employer branding, internal mobility pathways, and overall process optimization.

  • Ensure a consistent, engaging, and values-aligned candidate experience that reflects Rapid7’s mission, culture, and commitment to equity.

The Skills and Qualities you'll bring include

  • Significant global TA leadership experience, ideally in high-growth, fast-paced tech environments

  • Proven ability to scale and lead distributed, diverse recruiting teams across the Americas,  EMEA, and APAC

  • Strong executive presence and ability to influence at the senior leadership level

  • Experience managing TA transformation, including technology adoption, process redesign, and change leadership

  • Deep knowledge of global hiring regulations, talent market dynamics, and recruitment best practices

  • Date mindset and knowledge, capable of turning insights into strategy

  • Exceptional communicator with strong storytelling, influence, and collaboration skills

  • Passion for innovation, inclusive leadership, and continuous improvement

  • Familiarity with Workday or similar enterprise ATS platforms preferred

  • Willingness to travel internationally as needed

Critical Core Skills & Leadership Behaviors

  • Strategic Doing: You think big and act decisively—breaking goals into actionable steps, executing quickly, and iterating as needed to drive results.

  • Accountability: You set clear expectations, define ownership, and hold yourself and others responsible for delivering meaningful business outcomes.

  • Navigating Change & Ambiguity: You lead through change with confidence, curiosity, and a forward-focused mindset.
Cultivating Commitment Over Consensus: You drive alignment through clarity and conviction, fostering commitment even when full consensus isn’t possible.

  • Core Value Embodiment: You model and promote Rapid7’s core values—acting with integrity, advancing diversity, fostering collaboration, and driving innovation—in everything you do.
