Product Manager- Assessment & Response
Rapid7 is looking for a customer-centric, data-driven product manager with a strong technical background to join our Assessment and Response (A&R) product team. This is an exciting, high-visibility role within the A&R practice, where as a key member of the team you will own and shape the future direction of our Vulnerability Management products and capabilities.
About the Team
Our Assessment & Response Engineering Practice brings our CloudSec, Vunerability Management and AppSec product offerings together so we can offer our customers a full view of their risk across traditional and cloud infrastructure with their applications running on both so we can help our customers stay secure as they migrate to more cloud workloads. Tech Stack: Java, JS, React, AWS, Docker, Kubernetes
About the Role
As a product manager in the assessment and response practice, you will be working with a wide variety of customers from highly complex large-scale enterprise customers to smaller customers who are early in their security journey and will use these interactions to gain insights and feedback that you will use to shape the product roadmap alongside competitive analysis within the Vulnerability management space.
In this role, you will frequently collaborate cross-functionally with other product managers, different product practices, as well as engineering, UX, Customer Success, Sales, Support, and Marketing teams.

In this role, you will:
Define and own the product vision for areas you will own whilst frequently collaborating with product leadership.
Partner with Engineering and UX teams to drive planning sessions and prioritize work based on customer needs, product strategy and business impact, and track and communicate progress.
Obsess over customer adoption; gather customer feedback and operationalize product usage metrics to drive decision-making and product evolution.
Act as product advocate and subject matter expert for both customers and internal stakeholders such as marketing, sales, support and customer success.
Become familiar with the entire VM product portfolio so that you can engage with customers more broadly and impact cross-functionally when required.
The skills you’ll bring include:
4+ years experience working with a technical product where you have a strong technical understanding and the ability to tailor how you present information based on your audience.
Highly organised, deadline focused with strong analytical and problem-solving skills that you will utilize to define and execute the product roadmap.
Excellent presentation, written/verbal communication and customer-facing skills.
Experience with Agile and Scrum development methodology, acting as product owner/Manager for one or more engineering scrum teams would be highly beneficial.
Experience working as a product manager/owner with a good understanding of the fundamentals.
A basic understating of APIs.
BS in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related discipline is preferred.
