Program Manager, Commercialization
The Program Manager of Commercialization reports to the VP of Commercialization and Monetization and is responsible for driving and ensuring the success of critical go to market programs as well as playing a key role in orchestrating the implementation of the commercialization strategy. The programs in focus range from the launch of new market pricing to guiding Rapid7’s rollout of new commercial capabilities .In this role, you will serve as a change agent to help Rapid7 launch, grow, and execute on new commercial programs, thereby helping us become one of the most successful and highly respected technology companies in the world. 

About the Team

The Commercialization and Monetization team is responsible for the implementation of a new commercialization execution framework which includes managing the evaluation, governance and prioritization of go to customer initiatives, orchestrating cross-functional production readiness and ensuring transparent, data driven communication across all levels of leadership. In addition, the team is responsible for the vision and cross-functional implementation of a highly flexible, agile commercialization ecosystem, including the development of monetization strategies that will enable Rapid7 to optimize opportunity across segments, verticals, channels and markets.

About the Role


The core responsibilities for this role include the program management of multiple cross-functional initiatives, the development of standard tools and artifacts to be used as part of the execution framework and the thoughtful implementation of processes and forums to drive success, accountability and scalability. Beyond just executing on a strong program management foundation, we are also looking for someone who brings ownership, a strong business sense, curiosity and creativity to the role.

The successful candidate will be a self-starter, comfortable with ambiguity, have strong attention to detail, and will have an aptitude for structuring and managing agile programs. He/she should also have a demonstrated ability to think strategically and analytically about business processes and complex systems.
 

In this role, you will:

  • Manage strategic programs to determine program structure, schedule, issue resolution, status tracking & reporting; risk & escalation management; executive updates & communication 

  • Work with cross-functional stakeholders to:

    • Develop standard, yet flexible practices to ensure clarity of requirements, structured execution models and appropriate speed to production

    • Provide thought leadership and the change management necessary to build mature cross-functional thinking and practices

    • Coordinate with core and extended team members to collect, document, synthesize and report on different perspectives regarding a program’s progress and challenges

The skills you’ll bring include:

  • 5-10 years of demonstrated program management experience with cross-functional strategic initiatives driving transformative change 

  • High EQ and ability to connect, listen and understand different perspectives from college graduates through executive leadership 

  • Experience working closely with key commercial stakeholders (sellers, channel partners, customer support) and with key commercial systems (e.g., Salesforce)

  • Comfort working in a non-hierarchical organization

  • Strong analytical capabilities and the ability to translate insights into executive recommendations 

  • Intellectual curiosity and the ability to solve problems and work collaboratively 

  • Demonstrated ability to adapt to the program management needs of an organization instead of simply applying rinse-and-repeat program management templates

  • Experience in creating large scale, cross-functional program frameworks
