Join Rapid7 as a Security Consultant, Technical Customer Success where you will spearhead health checks for our largest customers. This is a great opportunity to leverage your technical acumen while taking a consultative approach to drive customer satisfaction to new heights. This position will be a hybrid role based out of our Channelside office in Tampa, FL. (3 days onsite/2 days remote). 

About the Team


The Rapid7 Technical Customer Success Team directly impacts clients unlocking the value of Rapid7 products and services through best practice guidance, enablement and optimizing product utilization.

About the Role


The Security Consultant role is a specialized role that provides expert advice, analysis and guidance to customers to improve utilization and performance of Rapid7 products. The role requires strong communication, problem-solving and analytical skills, as well as the ability to work independently and collaboratively with customers and other Rapid7 teams to achieve desired outcomes.

In this role, you will:

  • Perform product health checks to deliver best practice guidance, enablement and optimizations to customer’s Rapid7 product utilization.

  • Perform high-quality product configuration reviews and enablement for new customers

  • Communicate in a highly effective manner to customer contacts spanning various professional career levels from end-users to executive levels

  • Advise on security best practices as they relate to Rapid7 technologies

  • Participate within the Rapid7 Community and Security Industry as an advocate and advisor

  • Build and strengthen customer relationships in the pursuit of driving impeccable customer satisfaction and experiences

The skills you’ll bring include:

  • Experience in automation and implementation of security technologies and best practices.

  • Experience with cloud technologies and platforms; Amazon Web Services (AWS), Microsoft Azure, Google Cloud Platform (GCP), etc.

  • Experience and/or knowledge of container orchestration, deployment, and development technologies (Docker, Kubernetes, etc.).

  • Experience communicating highly technical concepts to a non-technical audience.

  • Understanding of network technologies and protocols (DHCP, IP, DNS, etc).

  • Unrelenting passion for customer satisfaction, security technology, and innovation.

  • Bachelor’s degree (Computer Science, Management Information Systems, a similar technical field) or equivalent experience.

  • Experience as an Admin with Rapid7’s solutions.
