About the Role

Rapid7 is looking to recruit a Senior Accountant who will assist with the accounting and compliance of our international subsidiaries.

This position is based out of Rapid7’s office in Pune, India.

The Senior Accountant is a key team member providing support for Rapid7’s international subsidiary accounting and compliance, preparation of account reconciliations, and compliance with Sarbanes-Oxley, U.S. GAAP, and international accounting standards.  The ideal candidate will have a background in international operations experience and strong technical accounting experience, they must have a willingness to learn and must be able to adapt in a dynamic environment. This position will be required to work cross-functionally, especially with the Treasury, Legal, Payroll and People Strategy departments on various international issues.

Essential Job Responsibilities

●      Manage and support international ledgers, including the monthly close process, preparation and review of account reconciliations and preparing reporting packages

●      Build strong cross-functional working relationships with various departments such as People Strategy, Payroll,  Legal, Treasury

●      Undertake GST return (GSTR-1 and GSTR-3B) filings and reconciliations of ITC register with GSTR-2A

●      Assist in TDS deduction, payments and filing of TDS returns in compliance with the applicable laws

●      Filings of various forms under income tax act including form 15CA, Form 61A, etc.

●      Provide support on Company audits, tax audits, and compliance requests

●      Provide guidance, communication, and assistance to the foreign subsidiaries and corporate office

●      Work with local/foreign accounting firms to ensure timely and accurate filling of statutory financial statements in applicable countries

●      Analyze monthly Balance Sheet and Income Statement accounts fluctuations and variances for budget vs. actuals

●      Record intercompany transactions, eliminations, and consolidations.

●      Identify, develop, and maintain efficient, cost effective, processes, controls and data management

●      Special assignments and projects with the goal of improving and scaling processes and helping to drive long-term strategic growth

●      Support internal control processes and documentation in line with Sarbanes-Oxley (SOX) requirements.

●      Complete technical accounting memorandum and support staff and global operations with technical accounting research as needed

 

Position Requirements

●      2-6 years of experience in a Staff Accountant or Senior Accountant role

●      Experience working with the accounting and consolidation of foreign subsidiaries and working with multiple currencies

●      Experience with India statutory reporting and tax compliance is essential

●      Strong communication skills and ability to work effectively with cross-functional teams

●      Ability to independently prioritize time and stay organized in a fast-paced environment

●      High energy with a sense of urgency and ability to multi-task

●      Keen sense of process management and ability to drive process change and improvement

●      Highly proficient with MS Excel and Google Sheets

●      Experience with accounting software and ERP systems, such as NetSuite

Qualification

  • CA with 2- 3 years of experience or Semi-Qualified CA with 4 to 6 years of industry relevant experience

  • MBA Finance

  • Master’s in commerce
