Senior Accounting Manager

We are seeking a highly motivated, hands-on, results driven Senior Accounting Manager to be a key leader in our rapidly growing Finance organization. This proven Finance leader will oversee all corporate accounting functions, manage the global month-end financial close process as well as partner with cross-functional leaders to drive strategic initiatives to enable growth and scalability across the organization. 

About the Team

This position will report into the Assistant Controller and will lead an expanding team of Managers and Senior Accountants. The Senior Accounting Manager must be a proven leader with the ability to develop and manage a team while collaborating cross-functionally. The ideal candidate needs to be a team player and possess the ability to multi-task in a fast-paced, exciting, and collaborative environment.

In this role, you will:

  • Oversee the global Accounting functions and period-end financial close process, including operation of the general ledger ERP (Netsuite) while maintaining effective internal controls and SOX requirements

  • Partner with finance leadership in the development and enhancement of a best-in-class financial close process through use of automation as well as developing scalable and efficient processes while maintaining financial integrity

  • Lead the day to day operations of the global Accounting team, ensuring entries, reconciliations, and analyses are accurately prepared, reviewed and approved in accordance with US GAAP and internal policies and procedures

  • Manage and develop a high performing Accounting team, set goals and develop career development plans aligning team and individual goals with the goals of the organization

  • Maintain strong controls and processes within global accounting operations; enhance, design, maintain and review internal controls and corporate policies and procedures for SOX compliance

  • Lead the ongoing development of accounting policies and procedures and operational strategies including the review and implementation of process and system changes

  • Partner with cross-functional stakeholders to drive strategic initiatives and process improvements

  • Oversee the period-end analytic review process including the review and verification balance sheet and income statement balances and fluctuations

  • Lead the continuous enhancement of internal financial reporting to provide meaningful insights to finance and operational management through partnership with executive leadership and FP&A

  • Collaborate with the SEC reporting, FP&A and tax teams on various ad-hoc reporting and GL support requests, ensuring completeness and accuracy

The skills you’ll bring include:

  • Bachelor’s degree in Accounting; CPA required

  • 8-10 years of progressive accounting experience in a publicly-traded company environment, with at least 4 of the years in a management position

  • Excellent understanding and knowledge of current US GAAP and SOX 404

  • Experienced leader and mentor to team with strong interpersonal, written and verbal communication skills

  • A motivated self starter with a continuous improvement mindset, who has a strong work ethic and able to meet critical deadlines

  • Adaptability and enthusiasm for new challenges, innate curiosity and a passion for learning

  • A collaborative mindset that is open to giving and receiving ideas, perspectives and feedback

  • Must be able to interact and communicate effectively with all levels of management

  • Ability to manage and prioritize multiple projects with competing priorities and meet tight deadlines in a fast-paced environment

  • Strong analytical, problem solving, planning and organizational skills
