Senior Manager, Product Management - Commercialization
We are seeking a Senior Manager for a growing Product Management (PM) team to help shape the way our customers subscribe, consume, and pay for the security capabilities Rapid7 provides.
About the Team
Commercial Infrastructure’s mission is to provide a best-of-breed experience to our customers and partners in accessing, deploying, and consuming Rapid7 Cybersecurity products, services, and technologies. We are a strong Product Management (PM) team building a robust, scalable commercialization platform for rapid ideation, market-testing, composition, and the Go-to-Market (GTM) of Rapid7 offerings. Keeping customer and partner experience front and center, we work backwards and across internal stakeholders (Sales, Customer Success, Marketing, Operations, Accounting, Legal) to ideate and identify the Commercialization needs and build solution roadmaps, partnering with our delivery teams across Platform, IT, and Data Engineering. We are a growing team that stays ahead of the evolving Cybersecurity market and builds commercialization capabilities to meet our customers’ current and future needs.
About the Role
If you’re excited about the prospect of building, coaching, and growing a strong cross-functional Product Management team that is tasked with the vision, plan, and delivery of a modern Commercialization platform, this role is for you! You will have the opportunity to work with cross-functional leadership and to further accelerate the growth of Rapid7.
In this role, you will:
Lead a team of product managers owning the Commercialization/Quote-to-Cash (QTC) solution from vision and roadmaps all the way to implementation and delivery–working across the Executive Leadership, Platform Engineering, IT, Product Practices, Go-to-Customer (GTC) Functions, and Operations.
Be the thought leader and the go-to person in the Quote-to-Cash (QTC) space. Understand market imperatives and Rapid7 strategic direction, and provide innovative alternatives to balance the strategic with the tactical.
Dive deep with internal and external stakeholders (Commercialization & Monetization Council, Sales, Customer Success, Services, Operations, Finance & Accounting, and others) to understand current business practices and policies and evolve them to best suit the commercialization models of Subscription, Consumption-based Billing, and others.
Lead iterative, Agile product planning and prioritization for development, testing, and ongoing enhancements across Platform Engineering, IT, and Data Engineering teams.
Lead internal delivery activities and external launch plans working with Marketing, Sales, Customer Success, and Legal.
The skills you’ll bring include:
8+ years of experience of customer obsession, product planning, roadmap building, and collaborative cross-functional leadership with a demonstrated track record in leading, growing, and managing successful PM teams.
Strong skills in building trust-based relationships up, down, and across the organization with high professional standards and accountability.
Keen understanding of the SaaS/Subscription Economy and the opportunities it presents along with the trade-offs and dependencies involved.
Expertise in building technically feasible solution blueprints for an enterprise-level Quote-to-Cash transformation with clarity on the choices and trade-offs in Build/Buy/Partner decisions.
Strong analytical and problem-solving skills with a mindset for data-driven decision-making with insightful judgments in the absence of data.
Practical experience related to Public Cloud, Enterprise Apps (for example, Salesforce, Netsuite), and DevOps.
Sound Product Management mindset with strong curiosity, thirst for knowledge, and a willingness to get hands-on when needed.
Willingness and ability to travel domestically and internationally if and when needed.
Broad understanding and knowledge of Cybersecurity space, customer needs, and market and competitive dimensions.
