Software Engineering Manager, Cyber Threat Intelligence
As a Cyber Threat Intelligence Software Engineering manager, you will be responsible for the development of high quality software in the Cyber Threat Intelligence space consumed by both customers and internal business stakeholders. Leading the team to build versatile solutions using the latest technologies in order to increase Rapid7’s impact on its customers.
About the Team
The Rapid 7 Cyber Threat Intelligence Software Engineering team is creating innovative solutions to detect and mitigate threats from the clear, deep and dark web. The technology stack includes Python, React, MongoDB and AWS to name a few. The team is full of energetic, passionate and fun individuals who take pride in the value they produce for their customers. About the Role
In this role, you will:
Deal with software challenges, including high performance, scalability, robustness, and resilience.
Lead the planning and execution of versatile solutions in the Cyber Threat Intelligence space..
Steer, grow, mentor and lead the engineering team and our people’s talent.
Responsible for developing technical strategy that supports the company’s roadmap.
Collaborate with engineering teams to ensure a high degree of alignment, ruthless prioritization, and timely releases of products and services in support of critical company initiatives.
Work as an effective leader across the organization, and collaborate with other leaders to translate the business priorities of the company into a technical agenda.
Ensure scalable development, testing, and deployment process to maintain and improve product reliability, scalability, and performance
You will participate in architectural discussions and decisions directly impacting our product's future.
You will take part in the development and operation of a large multi-tenant SaaS platform running in the cloud on top of Kubernetes.
You will be a part of a diverse and dynamic international, multicultural organization.
The skills you’ll bring include:
Prior experience with leading development teams and processes
5+ years of hands-on software development experience
High proficiency in the following programming languages and frameworks: Python, Angular/React, NodeJS, and TypeScript
Experience working with the following cloud environments: AWS or GCP
In-depth, hands-on experience with Kubernetes
Prior experience designing and developing DevOps processes & Infrastructure
