About the Role
Rapid7 is seeking Technical Support Engineer Interns to join our global customer support team. As a Technical Support Engineer (TSE) intern, you will have the opportunity to assist our Customer Success and Services teams in developing solutions to our customers’ challenging issues. A successful candidate for this role is a self-starter with a strong interest in technology, has a passion for working collaboratively, and thrives in a fast-paced environment.

In this role, you will:

  • Showing off your networking skills by supporting customers successfully setting up and troubleshooting any issues within their vulnerability scanning infrastructure

  • Creating innovative workflows to analyze large log files in order to get to the bottom of any reported issues

  • Using the many resources available to our Support team to learn, troubleshoot and reproduce customer issues

  • Work closely with various teams located locally and across the world including Engineering and Product to help drive a resolution to customer issues

  • Learning and expanding your knowledge of the our Vulnerability Management Platform to become a subject matter expert

  • Troubleshooting investigations and identifying defects or false positive alerts

The skills you’ll bring include:

  • Naturally technical; able to understand technical challenges and concepts

  • Rising Senior (or recent graduate) bachelor’s degree candidate with prior technical and/or customer service experience

  • Enjoys working with technical equipment and exercising problem solving skills

  • Ability to effectively translate technical engineering jargon

  • Exceptional written and communication skills

  • Self-motivated and accountable; able to take direction and manage prioritization of work

  • Results-oriented and collaborative; able to work independently as well as part of a team
