The Threat Intelligence Specialist is a highly visible, customer-facing role at the center of today’s cyber security landscape. You’ll help enterprise organizations stay ahead of rapidly evolving threats, applying intelligence that directly protects critical environments and reduces real-world risk.

In this role, you’ll combine deep threat analysis with meaningful customer engagement, translating complex intelligence into clear, actionable guidance that shapes security decisions. You’ll act as a trusted advisor, influence long-term security strategy, and build expertise across a broad and dynamic threat landscape - developing skills that support long-term career growth in threat intelligence, cyber security, and incident response while delivering tangible value to our customers every day.

About the Team


Rapid7’s Threat Intelligence team works closely with customers to proactively identify, analyze, and respond to emerging cyber threats, helping them strengthen resilience and make informed security decisions.

About the Role

As a Threat Intelligence Specialist , your primary responsibility will be to deliver high-quality, actionable threat intelligence while serving as a trusted advisor to customers. Specifically, your focus will be to:

  • Review threat intelligence alerts and identify actionable risks impacting customer environments

  • Investigate phishing, ransomware, data leakage, and dark web activity relevant to assigned customers

  • Communicate findings clearly, providing context, prioritization, and remediation guidance

  • Partner with customers to optimize platform usage, conduct health checks, and support ongoing security initiatives

The skills and qualities you’ll bring include:

  • Previous experience in Cyber Threat Intelligence, Incident Response, or a related security role

  • Hands-on experience investigating cyber threats using OSINT, HUMINT, and related research techniques

  • Experience working directly with enterprise customers in a customer-facing or advisory capacity

  • Strong analytical thinking and the ability to draw conclusions from incomplete or fragmented data

  • Customer-focused mindset with the ability to explain complex security topics simply

  • Clear, concise written and verbal communication skills in English

  • Comfort participating in customer calls, briefings, and QBR sessions

  • Experience collaborating with internal teams such as Customer Success, Product, or Engineering

  • Understanding of enterprise security solutions and common customer security challenges

  • Ability to prioritize and manage multiple customer engagements simultaneously

  • Familiarity with threat intelligence platforms, enrichment tools, and detection strategies
