Rapid7 is seeking a Workday Systems Engineer to join our growing IT Application Management Team which is responsible for overall health, support and compliance of Rapid7 Tier one Workday SaaS platform and various associated integrations.
The successful engineer will have the opportunity to explore new Workday capabilities and recommend ways to incorporate them within our system. They will compliment our existing Workday team, work hand-in-hand with other team members, and work cross functionally with other teams.
The Application Management team is critical to running the business at R7, supporting both internal and external customers . On a day-to-day basis this person will work as part of a cross functional team to solve business problems of varying complexity
The ideal candidate is a self driven, highly motivated individual having extensive hands-on experience in Workday development, administration and various aspects of application support including compliance and audit. The candidate should be able to work independently on time-sensitive issues, be able to collaborate with others across various geographies and time zones and always be curious and willing to constantly learn.
In this role, you will:
Work on various projects and be responsible for the related design, development, deployment, and maintenance of the Workday HCM system
Serve as a strong consultative partner to business and functional stakeholders to continuously improve service delivery
Configure, maintain and advise on security within the Workday application. This includes domain security policies, roles, and role assignments
Drive the deployment of feature releases and system maintenance, ensuring requirements are met
Be an integral part of the Workday support team ensuring day-to-day application support is balanced with strategic enhancements and projects
Partner and collaborate with various Rapid7 vendors and contractors on strategic initiatives
Overall accountability for data governance, security and compliance
Demonstrate proof of security controls during internal and external audit
Develop and promote continuous learning within the support team
The skills you’ll bring include:
3+ years Software Development Lifecycle experience with at least 2 years related to implementation and management of Workday HCM or enterprise HR applications
Experience using Workday HCM data model and understanding how and when to create custom vs. using Workday out-of-the-box functionality
Good understanding of Workday security features and controls and knowledge of SOX and data privacy regulations
Familiarity with other SaaS based tools like Netsuite, Salesforce, Workato, eTrade, Immedis
Excellent problem solving, troubleshooting, oral and written communication skills
Demonstrate high level of integrity, discretion and confidentiality
Comfortable enforcing security policies and practices
Desire to bring fresh ideas on how technology can be used to solve big problems
Willingness to broaden technical, functional, and industry skill base and to keep current with industry information and technical knowledge
Experience working with an Agile/Scrum team
