Jindřich Karásek is a senior threat intelligence & detection engineer in Rapid7 and researcher at the Psychological Institute of the Academy of Sciences. His research focuses on the areas of cognitive warfare, cyber espionage, and cyber threat intelligence.
He is also a scientist specializing in security data, known as "4n6strider," and lectures on the topics he studies at professional conferences.
Whether you think the AI is the cause to all our problems, or the solution, you may want to be curious to learn about its (cognitive) vulnerabilities, that opens whole new threat surface.
We will explore some of the TTPs, with a case study of actual data poisoning attack done against the real life threat actor. Lessons learned from this case study are highly applicable, whether you are a hacker, security professional, or just use the internet for fun.
We're thrilled to welcome Zuzana Pechová as one of the speakers at our upcoming meetup! Zuzana is the inspiring founder of CyberLadies, a community-driven initiative empowering women to break into the world of cybersecurity. With a background in technology and a passion for building inclusive spaces, Zuzana is on a mission to make cyber more accessible, especially for those just starting their journey. She's also actively involved in mentoring and educating the next generation of cybersecurity talent.
Zuzana will be joining us, and we can't wait to hear both of their insights into the future of cybersecurity, community, and career development.
CyberLadies is a vibrant community focused on supporting women who are curious about cybersecurity or looking to build a career in the field. Through workshops, meetups, and hands-on learning, CyberLadies creates a welcoming space for knowledge sharing, growth, and connection—regardless of prior experience.
SOC analysts are the frontline warriors in the fight against cyber threats. When an alert comes in, they dive into action—investigating, identifying, and confirming the threat. If it's real, they escalate, contain, and neutralize the danger. In this talk, we'll dive into case study explaining how this process unfolds within the Rapid7 SOC, exploring the tools and procedures that drive its response to cyber threats.
Jan is a co-founder of Cyber Rangers, red teamer and trainer. His expertise includes deep knowledge of Windows OS security and Active Directory. He specializes in EDR evasion, exploit development, malware engineering, and advanced attack techniques in Active Directory environments. His engaging approach and sense of humor make him a respected figure in the cybersecurity community.
Let's take a deep dive into how system calls actually work and explore some cool techniques for using them to execute payloads during red team engagements. We’ll look at the nuts and bolts of syscall mechanics and how they can be leveraged in real-world hacking scenarios. It’s all about uncovering the power of syscalls and their crucial role in the toolkit of every ethical hacker.
We all love the cloud - until it starts raining invoice shaped raindrops. Whether you are just spinning up your first EC2 instance or using so many services that even AWS support is confused, this talk will show you why cloud security should be taken a bit more seriously. Measured in US dollars.
