As a Senior Salesforce Engineer, you will own a full life cycle of development and be a senior contributor on a team responsible for the end-to-end delivery of increasingly complex features that are correctly implemented and high quality. You will take initiative to identify and own solutions to problems, and you will partner with cross-functional teams owning requirements that take into account all parties’ needs. You will act as a resource by advising and mentoring junior engineers to continue to build the technical capabilities of our teams.

The Salesforce Development team plays a critical role in enabling scalable, automated, and reliable business processes across Rapid7. We work cross-functionally with internal stakeholders to build solutions that streamline operations, improve user workflows, and support strategic growth. About the Role

As a Senior Salesforce Engineer on our Business Applications team, you’ll play a critical role in designing and building scalable Salesforce solutions that support both our internal teams and customer-facing experiences. You’ll collaborate closely with stakeholders across Sales, Support, Customer Success, and Product to implement enhancements that improve automation, data integrity, and operational efficiency across Sales Cloud, Service Cloud, Experience Cloud, and CPQ. You'll also contribute to platform governance, architecture, and mentor other engineers as we scale our Salesforce ecosystem.

  • Build, maintain, and release our well architected services by writing correct and clean code consistently and following best practices and conventions. You will understand and make well-reasoned design decisions and tradeoffs in your areas of expertise

  • Take an active role in the design and planning of upcoming features, our engineers are first class stakeholders in all parts of the development process 

  • When required, partner with internal teams who work deeply with our platform to ensure we are understanding our customers needs

  • Continue to develop a deep understanding of our products in order to support our customers

  • Work with Practice specific technologies 

The skills and qualities you’ll bring include:

  • Minimum of 5 years of hands-on Salesforce development experience, including Sales Cloud, Service Cloud, Experience Cloud, CPQ, Apex, Lightning Web Components (LWC), Flows, integrations, and declarative configuration tools

  • Excited by technology, curious and eager to learn, with the ability to mentor more junior members of the team 

  • The attitude and ability to thrive in a high-growth, evolving environment

  • Collaborative team player who has the ability to partner with others and drive toward solutions

  • Strong creative problem solving skills

  • Solid communicator with the ability to clearly convey objectives and rationale whilst fostering commitment from others both within the team and cross functionally

  • Demonstrable experience of delivering complex solutions to customers
