Senior UX Writer

  • R10017
  • Boston, MA, United States

Job Overview:

We’re looking for a and highly collaborative Staff Content Designer to elevate the quality and clarity of our in-product content experiences. In this senior-level role, you’ll execute content strategy and design for key product and platform areas — from in-app enablement and UI copy to technical documentation and release notes.
You’ll work closely with product managers, designers, engineers, and other content curators to create cohesive, helpful, and user-centered content that empowers our users and drives product adoption. You bring a strong point of view on how language shapes user experiences, and you're excited to lead content thinking at both the systems and feature levels.

Requirements:

  • 8+ years of experience in UX writing, content design, or product content strategy, ideally within complex or technical product environments.
  • A portfolio that showcases exceptional writing, business impact, and systems-level content work across web or software applications.
  • Experience designing for enterprise or B2B platforms is a strong plus.
  • Ability to distill complex concepts into simple, approachable language.
  • Comfortable collaborating cross-functionally and presenting work to stakeholders at all levels.
  • Familiarity with design tools (like Figma) and content design workflows
  • Familiarity with GitHub, Markdown, Jira, and Content Management Systems (CMS).
  • Bonus: Experience working on in-app education or enablement platforms, such as Pendo, WalkMe, or Appcues.

Responsibilities:

  • Develop and Deliver Content Strategy: Execute against the organization’s content through execution across multiple touch points—interface content, onboarding flows, in-app help, tooltips, and release notes.
  • Design with Words: Craft concise, consistent, and conversational UI copy that guides users through complex tasks with clarity and ease.
  • Partner Deeply: Collaborate with designers, PMs, and engineers throughout the product development lifecycle to ensure language is tightly integrated into the overall user experience.
  • Drive Enablement: Develop in-product enablement content that supports user success and drives adoption, including walkthroughs, contextual help, and micro-learning moments.
  • Document & Communicate: Own the creation of product documentation and release notes in partnership with Product and UX and UX Content teams teams.
  • Champion Consistency: Help evolve and maintain a product-wide content system that supports clarity, inclusivity, and usability at scale.
  • Mentor & Lead: Provide guidance to other content and design peers, and help grow content design maturity across the organization.
  • Transform Content Experience: Usher in the new-era of AI-authored and consumed content experience.
  • Design Frameworks and SDLC: Master iterative delivery of content against roadmaps and content backlog in lock-step with SDLC alongside product delivery teams while leveraging key design frameworks to bring projects from discovery to delivery.

Why You’ll Love This Role

  • Lead and shape how users understand and interact with complex products.
  • Influence product adoption and usability through smart, strategic content.
  • Be part of a high-trust team that values craft, autonomy, and impact.
  • Help define and grow the content design function across the organization.
