Rapid7’s Canadian Sales organization is seeking an Account Executive to join the team. You will serve as a strategic partner for clients in your assigned geography, helping them achieve a more secure digital future. In this quota carrying role, you will directly impact the success of the company and help organizations across the world advance securely.
About the Team
Led by a Manager in our Boston-based HQ, the Canadian sales team is focused on driving both new revenue and managing upsell opportunities. We provide AEs with access to tools such as LinkedIn Sales Navigator, Zoominfo and Gong.
About the Role
This is a fully remote role that is responsible for managing 220 accounts, predominately in Ontario. We are currently accepting applications from candidates who reside in Ontario province.
In this role, you will:
Meet and exceed your quota by identifying, qualifying and closing new business opportunities at commercial and enterprise-level companies
Creatively source new prospects and thoughtfully position Rapid7's offerings to suit their needs, be a trusted advisor.
Stay current on competitor offerings and be able to identify their strengths and vulnerabilities.
Turn client feedback into actionable strategies to drive new business and influence client choices and advocate for client needs to negotiate win-win solutions.
Work closely and communicate effectively with various functional teams, including Sales Engineering, Sales Operations, Channel, and Customer Success, to ensure seamless implementation and effective ongoing account growth.
Accurately enter, update, and maintain daily activity, forecast, and opportunity information in Salesforce.
The skills you’ll bring include:
5+ years of full-cycle sales experience at a software or technology company in cybersecurity.
Proven track record of success driving revenue through prospecting, creating new business, and sustainably growing existing business.
Prior experience leveraging channel partners in all aspects of the deal cycle to achieve revenue goals.
Ability to work well autonomously and under pressure, as well as be highly responsive to clients.
Ability to learn, absorb, and adapt quickly to ever-changing business priorities.
Critical thinking in a variety of situations, demonstrating drive, initiative, energy and sense of urgency in acquiring and serving clients.
A “Never Done” mindset, and a strong understanding of self, including strengths and weaknesses.
An “Impact Together” mentality that empowers the team to learn and grow together, indexing on progress over perfection.
Ability to travel 25% to client meetings as needed.
