Rapid7’s Canadian Sales organization is seeking an Account Executive to join the team as a strategic partner for clients in your assigned geography, helping them achieve a more secure digital future. In this quota-carrying role, you will directly impact the success of the company and help organizations across the world advance securely.

About the Team

Led by a Manager in our Boston-based HQ, the Canadian sales team is focused on driving both new revenue and managing upsell opportunities. We provide Account Executives with access to tools such as LinkedIn Sales Navigator, Zoominfo, and Gong.

About the Role

This is a fully remote role that is responsible for managing 220 accounts, predominately in Ontario, and we are currently accepting applications from candidates who reside in Ontario province.

  • Meet and exceed assigned quota by identifying, qualifying, and closing new business opportunities at commercial and enterprise-level companies

  • Source new prospects creatively and position offerings thoughtfully to suit customer needs as a trusted advisor

  • Maintain an up-to-date knowledge of competitor offerings to accurately identify their strengths and vulnerabilities

  • Transform client feedback into actionable strategies to drive new business, influence client choices, and advocate for client needs to negotiate win-win solutions

  • Collaborate cross-functionally and communicate effectively with Sales Engineering, Sales Operations, Channel, and Customer Success teams to ensure seamless implementation and effective ongoing account growth

  • Update, enter, and maintain daily activity, forecast, and opportunity information accurately in Salesforce

  • Manage sales activities autonomously and effectively under pressure while remaining highly responsive to client demands

The skills and qualities you’ll bring include:

  • Bring 5+ years of full-cycle sales experience at a software or technology company within the cybersecurity industry

  • Demonstrate a proven track record of success driving revenue through prospecting, creating new business, and sustainably growing existing business

  • Leverage channel partners skillfully across all aspects of the deal cycle to achieve revenue goals

  • Thrives when working autonomously, demonstrating high responsiveness to client needs under pressure

  • Apply a strong understanding of self, including strengths, weaknesses, and biases, to adapt quickly to ever-changing business priorities

  • Exhibit critical thinking in a variety of situations, demonstrating drive, initiative, energy, and a sense of urgency in acquiring and serving clients

  • Hold self and others responsible for driving outcomes and meeting commitments that deliver deep value for the business and our customers

  • Embody our core values to foster a culture of excellence that drives meaningful impact and collective success
