Account Executive (Sweden)

The Account Executive is responsible for driving new customer acquisition and expanding Rapid7’s footprint across Sweden. You will own the full sales cycle, build strong customer relationships, and deliver cybersecurity solutions that address complex business challenges. This is a high-impact, quota-carrying role offering significant growth and career development.

About the Team

Our EMEA Sales organisation partners with customers to secure their digital environments using Rapid7’s full product portfolio. The Nordics Sales team consists of Account Executives supported by Business Development, Channel, Solutions Engineering and Customer Success teams to drive customer outcomes and regional growth.

About the Role

As an Account Executive, your primary responsibility will be to generate and close new business opportunities within the Sweden territory. Specifically, your focus will be to:

  • Identify, qualify, and close new business opportunities within the 1,500–7,500 employee segment

  • Prospect creatively to source new leads and align Rapid7’s offerings to customer needs

  • Stay informed about competitor offerings to understand market dynamics

  • Leverage customer insights to influence strategic decisions and drive business growth

  • Collaborate closely with Channel, Solutions Engineering, Sales Operations, and Customer Success to ensure seamless implementation and sustained account growth

The skills and qualities you’ll bring include:

  • Strong collaboration and teamwork skills

  • Excellent communication and influencing abilities

  • A growth mindset with the ability to adapt quickly

  • A customer-centric approach to problem solving

  • 5–7 years of full-cycle sales experience in software or technology, ideally cybersecurity

  • Demonstrated success generating revenue through prospecting and new business creation

  • Ability to manage long, complex sales cycles and navigate multiple stakeholders

  • Strong commercial acumen and ability to uncover customer pain points

  • Resilience, drive, and competitiveness in a target-driven environment

  • Ability to work autonomously while balancing competing priorities

  • Experience using Salesforce or similar CRM tools

  • Willingness to travel up to 25% within the region

  • Fluency in both English and Swedish (C2 level)
