Rapid7 is seeking a Toronto-based Sales Manager who is energetic and strategic to drive growth across the Canadian market. In this pivotal role, you will recruit, enable, and scale a high-performing sales team focused on delivering meaningful security outcomes to Canada’s largest organizations.


About the Team

Reporting to the Director of Enterprise Sales, the Canadian team is a high-performing group of sellers focused on delivering meaningful security outcomes for Canada's largest organizations. In addition to Manager Bootcamp, Managers are provided best-in-class sales enablement training and engineering support.


About the Role

As a Manager of Sales, your primary responsibility will be to lead and scale the Canadian sales team, driving growth across strategic accounts from coast to coast. Specifically, your focus will be to:

  • Manage a team of sellers responsible for selling the Rapid7 portfolio of software products across Canada.
  • Develop and execute go-to-market strategies to consistently exceed regional revenue targets.
  • Recruit, enable, and train new hires to the team, coaching them in Rapid7's sales methodology and current product knowledge.
  • Build and grow channel partner relationships across Canada, working closely with the channel team to expand reach and accelerate pipeline.
  • Partner with Marketing to strengthen Rapid7's brand and presence within the Canadian market.
  • Strategize with the team on positioning and competitive differentiation for cybersecurity software products.
  • Partner with cross-functional teams including Customer Success, Marketing, and Sales Engineering to deliver exceptional customer outcomes.
  • Foster a culture of accountability, collaboration, and continuous improvement within the team.

The skills and qualities you'll bring include

  • Bring 3–5 years of experience in a quota-carrying enterprise software sales role as an individual contributor alongside 3–5 years in a sales leadership role or team lead capacity.
  • Demonstrate proven experience selling into enterprise accounts across Canada with an established regional network.
  • Maintain a clear understanding of both the customer buying process and sales methodologies within the enterprise software space.
  • Leverage a deep knowledge of the Canadian channel ecosystem with a track record of building and leveraging partner relationships.
  • Possess the ability to travel up to 25% across Canada as needed.
  • Demonstrate accountability by holding self and others responsible for driving business growth, target attainment, accurate pipeline management, and forecasting.
  • Utilize strategic decision-making capabilities to make efficient decisions that resolve challenges and enable team momentum.
  • Drive cross-functional collaboration across Product Marketing, Engineering, Customer Success, and People Strategy to deliver sustainable improvements.
  • Demonstrate agility in navigating change and ambiguity within a high-growth environment, acting as an active driver of continuous improvement.
